Audrey D Reames

Audrey D. Reames, 93, of Elkhart, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Woodland Manor.

Audrey was born on October 16, 1923 in Elkhart to Ned W. and Marguerite (Wilson) Morrow. On November 15, 1947, she married William H. Reames. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1999.

Audrey is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann (Martin) Lowe, Elkhart; sons, Steven C. (Suzette) Reames, Elkhart, John M. (Lisa) Reames, Greenwood, IN, Robert W. (Arminae) Reames, Studio City, CA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Audrey was preceded in death by a son, William D. Reames, and a brother, Ned W. Morrow, Jr.

Audrey was a graduate of Elkhart High School and attended DePauw University. Audrey loved singing, especially in the church choir at First Presbyterian Church.

She is additionally survived by five of the group of seven of her special childhood friends, affectionately known as the “Woo-Woo’s”. They are: Phid Butler, Jo Pipher, Rudy Wright, Mickey Baker, and Alma Terlep.

The family would also like to thank the care givers and loving staff of Woodland Manor, Heartland Hospice, and Heather White, for their unwavering support. It will forever be appreciated.

Friends may call from 3 pm until 6 pm, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. In accordance with Audrey’s wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place at a later date in Rice Cemetery.
