I'm so sorry for your family. I hope that despite your grief, you can still be conscious that your husband and father is now truly in the place for which all our souls do yearn. I was a friend of John (the son) throughout my Elkhart (St. Thomas) years - until my family moved East. I hope the pain isn't too long-lasting, John. Tom Dean

Julie and Family,

I will never forget your Dad’s infectious smile, his warm embrace, and his obvious love of life. I always enjoyed when your Mom and Dad would visit us at school, or when we came to Elkhart to see your family. Your Dad was always so welcoming to me, as if I were family. He is a reminder of how we should all live our lives.

Love and prayers,
Liz

Jack and I joined the local Bar Association about the same time, bearing the opprobrium of being house counsel or "kept counsel". We enjoyed each other's company on the infrequent occasions when our paths crossed.Gwen and I recall a pleasant dinner with Jack and Geri at the Matterhorn several years back. Requiescat in Pace. Your Husband, Father, Grandfather: Jack would come down to Sam Winer Co.Inc. Scrap Metal. It was the best part of my day. Bringing us food from his garden, chatting about old times, and adoringly discussing his Wife, children&Grandchildren. How proud he was of all of you. He wanted his one Dentist daughter to help our Kenny w his teeth issues. He just really cared about people. He helped me with legal advice. He went above and beyond to help me. I'll miss him dearly. Sorry for your loss.
