Glenn D Burdick Jr.

Glenn D. Burdick Jr., 61, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Glenn was born on May 17, 1956 in Bethany, OK to the late Glenn D. and Silva (Phipps) Burdick, Sr.  He was also preceded in death by three sisters.

On July 5, 1996, Glenn married the former Janet K. Hoover.  She survives along with her children, Jodi R. Kinzel of Nappanee, John T. (Sue) Law of Elkhart, three grandchildren; Katie Law, Madison Law and Mary Kinzel, three aunts; Loretta (Bobby) Ewing and Zenith Harvey, both of Amarillo, TX, Zella Phipps of Luther, OK and an uncle, Euris Phipps of Willington, TX.  Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as his brother-in-law, Donald “Nick” (Janet) Carter of Elkhart.  Also surviving is the family’s best friend, Marlene Worthington.

Glenn was employed as a driver for BFI for many years.  He attended Britten High School in Oklahoma City, OK and was a huge NASCAR fan with Dale Earnhart Jr. being his favorite driver.  He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog, B.J., working in the yard and feeding the birds.

There will be no visitation or services.  Glenn’s request was to be cremated.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Glenn may be directed to the family of Glenn Burdick in care of Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.
