Ralph W. Derr

Ralph W. Derr, 91, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Kindred of Northern Indiana in the presence and comfort of his daughter.

Ralph was born on May 27, 1925 in Eldora, IA to William and Anna Derr. On March 22, 1946, he married the love of his life, Roberta I Williams. They shared 61 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on July 5, 2007.

Ralph is survived by a daughter Deborah Malone (Michael), Elkhart, and a brother, Ron Teall, Bristol.

Ralph began his career with NIBCO in 1943, until his retirement after 45 years in 1988. He was a passionate advocate for animal rights. He served as the past president of Elkhart County Humane Society. Ralph was an active member of Albright United Methodist Church. Ralph was a loving husband and father, who cherished his family.

Rest in peace, Dad. You will always be remembered and loved.

Private family services will be held. Burial will take place in Rice Cemetery.
