Viola C (Serafino) Cattell

Viola C. Cattell, 93, of Elkhart, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Edwardsburg, MI after an illness.

Viola was born on September 25, 1925 in Elkhart to the late Tony and Mary (Campiti) Serafino.  Also preceding her in death are her husband, Lloyd Cattell, two daughters, Carol M. Tomlonson and Barbara A. Cattell, a sister, Gloria Serafino and a brother, Frank Serafino.

She is survived by a son, John A. (Marilyn) Cattell, a daughter, Diane (Matthew Horvath) Cattell; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two brothers, Joseph (Lila) Serafino and Carmen (Judith) Serafino.

Viola was a homemaker and a graduate of Elkhart High School.  A private and reserved person, she would not hesitate to help when asked or to jump in to feed any animal that she felt needed attention.  When her health permitted, she liked to refinish furniture and paint.

Visitation for Viola will be on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of the memorial service at 5:00 p.m. at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  The Rev. Joel Irvin will officiate.
