Ada Ruth Landis, 85, of Elkhart, died Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart.

Ruth was born August 27, 1936 in Metropolis, IL to the late Carl C. and Ruth E. (Lippert) Williams.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

As Ada Ruth Williams, she married Delvin L. "Del" Landis in Elkhart on July 18, 1964.  Del died February 13, 2017.  Surviving are a daughter, Wendi (Sean) Talkington of Elkhart; three sons: Mark (Carolyn) Landis and Randy (Denise) Landis, both of Elkhart and Steve (Theresa) Landis of Flushing, MI; ten grandchildren, ten

great grand children and one brother, Charles (Julie) Miller of Paducah, KY.

Ruth worked for many years at CTS as well as Whitehall but she truly enjoyed working as a para professional for the Elkhart Community School system.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.  She enjoyed gardening, planning parties and had a rather large collection of oil lamps.  Her grandchildren and great grand children were her pride and joy.

Visitation for Ruth will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 10 am until the hour of the service at 12 noon, all at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  Mr. Deed Pendell of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints will officiate.  Entombment will be in Peace Mausoleum at Rice Cemetery.
