Alma "Red" Jackson Pullian, 80, of Elkhart, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Red was born on April 8, 1936 to Cleophus and Alma (Young) Johnson in Tyronza, Arkansas.

Red is survived by daughters, Carlor Carroll and Aretha Jackson, both of Elkhart; sons, Roy Jackson (Velma), Elkhart, Dennis Jackson, Elkhart, Ronnie (Barb) Jackson, Detroit, MI, Donnie (Charlotte), Detroit, MI, and Vernon (Betty) Jackson, Elkhart; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Aretha Taylor, Elkhart, Rosie Lee Johnson, Sikestown, MO; Cleo Johnson, Atlanta, GA, Esther (Oliver) Pettis, Elkhart, and Joann (Warren) Black, Wakarusa, IN. Red was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Pullian, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 grandchildren.

Red was employed as a CNA with Fountainview, prior to that, she was employed by Gaska Tape. She attended Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

Friends may call from 11 am until the funeral service at 12 pm (Noon), Friday, December 9, 2016 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
