Anna Marie Baker, 99, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday, August 25th, 2017 at Riverside Village in Elkhart.

Anna was born on May 2, 1918 in Elkhart to the late Willis E. and Helen R. (Yunker) Olinghouse.

As Anna Olinghouse, she married Anthony J. "Tony" Bender on April 21, 1940 in Elkhart.  He died on January 7, 1999.  She then married Dean Baker on February 12, 2005.  He survives.  Also surviving is a son, Paul (Ilaine) Bender of Elkhart.

Anna Marie and her late husband Anthony started Main Electric Hardware in the mid 1940's.  Later, in 1947, they also started Bender's Wholesale Distributors and later U. S. Wholesale Hardware.  She worked in the business in the financial area.

She and her husband "Tony" were very involved in their church and its activities in the Elkhart area.  She loved to play the organ and often sang with Tony in the church services.  She lived her entire life in Elkhart.  She was a good wife and mother and enjoyed travelling.  In the 1950's they travelled throughout the U. S. and later to Europe and also to where her son was studying in Brazil.

Visitation for Anna Marie will be held on Tuesday, August 29th from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at noon at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  The Rev. Nathan Brenneman will officiate.  Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
