Barney Eugene Taylor, 69 of Elkhart, died on Tuesday, March 16, 2022 at his home.

Barney was born on April 5, 1952 in Elkhart to the late Barney George and Geraldine (Warner) Taylor.

On July 10, 1970 he married Margaret Harley.  She survives with two children: Barney E. Taylor II and Shannon Tavernier both of Elkhart. Four siblings: Steven Taylor, Judy Taylor Finchum, Deborah Taylor and Cheryl Taylor. Also surviving are three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Barney spent most of his life working on cars. He was a mechanic for many years and even owned his own shop. He was a graduate of Elkhart High School class of 1971.

A graveside service for Barney will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
