Betty Inetha
(Mccaskill) Rorie
February 20, 1933 – January 24, 2017
Betty Inetha Rorie, 83, of Mishawaka, passed from this life headed towards her new home "Heaven" on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was in the care of Sprenger Nursing Facility. Betty was born on February 20, 1933 in Finger, Tennessee to JR and Lillie Mae McCaskill. Both are deceased. She was married to Eulis R. Rorie on October 8, 1949 in Mishawaka, IN. He survives, along with four sons, Bill (Linda) Rorie, Indianapolis, Jack (Karen) Rorie, Osceola, IN, Robin (Sherry) Rorie, Clearwater, FL, and John (Nancy) Brosius, Bridgeport, WV. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are two sisters, Imogene Thornton, Francis Rorie; brother, Larry McCaskill; step-brother, Charles Sayles, two infant children: Rita Diane, and Danny Ray; and step-mom Annie Mae.
Betty loved her family and was quick-witted to answer just about any question. She loved being involved in children's ministries for many years. She really enjoyed the churches she attended over the last 60 years. She has an organized library of photos and events from Christ Temple, Life Tabernacle, and The Sanctuary of Osceola. She would tell you that some of her first experiences worshipping the Lord were singing and having church with the chickens in the "hen house!"
She was employed for several years at Crown International and then at the Jack n Jill Daycare Center of Osceola. Her little brown house on Fairview Ave was her life, along with her sweetheart of 67 years "Boopsie" (Eulis).
