Billy Brewer, 56, of Elkhart, died Monday July 4, 2016 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Pell City, AL. Billy was born October 23, 1959 in Michigan to William L. and Ruth L. (Cullum) Brewer. Billy is survived by his mother, Ruth L. Brewer, Manchester, TN; sister Sherri McCoullough (Jerry), Manchester, TN; brother, Terry Brewer, Manchester, TN; nieces Shani and Alisha McCoullough, Manchester, TN; nephew, William Brewer, Manchester, TN; step-sons, Michael Roberts (Ashley), Joseph Betts (Elizabeth), and Johnny Betts, all of Elkhart; 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild, and close family friend Johanna Roberts. He was preceded in death by his father William L. Brewer, sister-in-law, Sara Brewer, and a niece Ashley Louise Brewer. Billy was employed with Manchester Tank for 32 years. He enjoyed roller skating, riding his motorcycle, and was a great mechanic. He loved Bingo and was affectionately known as "Bingo Bill". Friends may call from 4-7 pm, Friday, July 15, 2016 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Pirtle officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
