Carolyn Carruthers, 60, of Elkhart died April13, 2020 at her residence.

She was born July 10, 1959 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Clarence and Ernestine (Williams) Wheeler. Also, preceding Carolyn in death are a brother Sylvester Wheeler; three sisters Joyce Moton, Geraldine Walker, and Barbara Woods, and husband Arthur Carruthers. They were married July 6, 2009.

Left to cherish Carolyn's memory are three sons, Ketran (Angel) Wheeler, Desmond Wheeler, and Gregory Wheeler: stepchildren, Peggy (Levi) Lewis, Stella Sims, Leslie (Rosie) Carruthers, Arthur (Lashawn) Carruthers; sisters, Julie Wheeler and Hilda (Donnell) Norah; brothers Clay (Mitzia) Wheeler and Clarence Wheeler Jr; special grandson Kmani, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A public visitation for Carolyn will take place from 11am-12pm at the funeral home Monday, April 20, 2020. A graveside service will follow visitation. Due to state regulations and social distancing enforced during this time, entry to the funeral home will be timed and limited.
