Cathy L. Wardlow, 63, of Elkhart, passed away Monday evening, July 18, 2022 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Cathy was born on January 23, 1959 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Jessie Vollstedt.

Surviving are her children: James M. Wardlow, Alexis Wardlow, (Trevon Jackson) of Elkhart, IN, Priscilla Wardlow (Kendra Millering) of Grand Rapids, MI; six grandchildren: McKaila, Tristan, Jaida, Zakintreyia, Andre, & Donsae; seven great grandchildren: Greyson, Avery, Alexander, Laikyn, Remi, Ronan, & Mazeleigh.  Also surviving are sisters: Angie Schutz, Edwardsburg, Sandy (Jim) Artley, Edwardsburg, Kim Stanton (Kevin Clark), Niles, and brother: Dean (Marge) Wardlow, Niles, as well as a host of nieces & nephews and many life-long friends.

Cathy was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Wardlow,  sisters Rexie Karacson & Shannon Rooney, and grandchild Anthony Wardlow.

Cathy worked as a driver for PTI.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, old westerns, and traveling. Cathy was a beautiful person, inside and out. She touched many people's lives and was always a caring shoulder and listening ear to all. Like everyone, she had her flaws. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind or stand up for what she believed in. This is what gave her character and formed her into the mom, friend, sister and GiGi we love and will dearly miss.

Visitation for Cathy will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 4 pm until 6 pm at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 6 pm.  Michael Downing will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
