Cynthia A. "Cindi" Zimmermann, 66, of Elkhart, died on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital. Cindi was born on October 9, 1949 in Elkhart to Paul and Lois (Horne) Cook. Paul died on August 6, 2012. As Cynthia Cook, she married Fred Zimmermann. Fred survives along with her mother, Lois Cook of Elkhart; three sons: Dustin and Chris Zimmermann, both of Elkhart; Shawn Zimmermann of Wabash; two grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Zimmerman and one brother, Dennis (Joan) Cook of Destin, FL. Cindi retired from PlumRose where she worked in human resources. Cindi was also a graduate of Elkhart High School and volunteered at the Lerner Theatre. Visitation for Cynthia will be held Tuesday, January 19th, from 4 to 7 at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Friends may also call one hour prior to funeral services on Wednesday at 11 a.m, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions in memory of Cindi may be made to Shreiner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
