Deborah E. Presley, 81, of Elkhart, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at home. Deborah was born January 16, 1934 in Indianapolis to Charles L. and Fronia A. (Beam) Carroll. Deborah is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Presley; daughters, Debra Lind, Elkhart, Jody Wilson, Elkhart, Sherri Green, Hobart; Son, James "Rusty" Green, Elkhart; grandchildren, Tara (Adam) Tucker, Shane (Jennifer) Green, Jeremy (Gabby) Green, Carly Green (Alex Johnson), Felix DeLeon and Joseph Boyer and 2 great grandchildren. Deborah was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph R. Green and a son, David R. Green in 1960. Deborah spent her life helping people. After retiring from her career as a secretary, she volunteered at Elkhart General Hospital and became a member of their Auxiliary. She was also integral in establishing Boardwalk Community's Chapel and was the Social Director of the Boardwalk Community for years. She was active in anything that would allow her to meet new people. Friends may call from 4 p.m., until 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the funeral home with Reverend Lewis Clifton officiating. Burial will take place at 3 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Elwood City Cemetery, Elwood, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be sent to Boardwalk Chapel Service or Center for Hospice.
