Dwoyne B. Miles, 48, of Elkhart, died on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at I. U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after becoming ill while visiting his family.

He was born July 2, 1970 in Elkhart to Charles J. and Mary J. (Jackson) Miles, Sr.  He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents and a step-brother.

On May 8, 2004 he married Sylvia Goodwin in Elkhart.  She survives along with two daughters; Dymia Miles of South Bend, Ciera Green of Indianapolis: one son, Dwoyne Miles Jr. of Elkhart: three grandchildren; his mother, Mary Miles; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Spencer; sister Martavia Miles, brother, Charles Miles Jr., a step-sister, Michelle Barnes and two God-sisters; Latosha Bonds and Carolyn Arnold; step-mother, Doris Miles and his best friend, Timmy Taylor all of Elkhart.

Dwoyne was employed by Lippert Components for 15 years as a roll form operator.   He also attended Elkhart Central High School.

Visitation for Dwoyne will be held on Friday, December 14 from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at noon, all at Canaan Baptist Church.  The Rev. Herman Washington will officiate and burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.
