Gary L. Price, 64, of Elkhart, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital after a courageous ten month battle with cancer.

Gary was born on December 19, 1952 in Elkhart to Harold E. and Iris K. (Searer) Price. On September 21, 1996 in Elkhart, he married Kim M. Gaff. She survives.

Also surviving is his beloved daughter, Kaylee C. Price, Elkhart; and brothers, John "Jack" (Patricia) Price, Capt. USN Retired, Kitty Hawk, NC, their daughter Karen (Jason) Parker, Richmond, VA and Robert "Bob" Price, Elkhart; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Karen Gaff, Elkhart; brothers-in-law, Doug Gaff (fiancé, Beth Harmon), Elkhart, Jeff (Julie Wargon) Gaff, Bristol; sister-in-law, Jodi (John) Brenneman, Elkhart, and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was a 1971 graduate of Concord High School, where he was a star athlete on the football, basketball, and track teams.  He attended Ball State University, and graduated from Indiana University South Bend. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, he managed Drakes Department Store in Elkhart. Gary and his wife were the owner and operators of Superior Space in Elkhart.  He enjoyed his muscle car collection and loved spending time at home on the St. Joseph River with family and friends.  Gary was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and loved his country.  However, without a doubt, his biggest pride and joy was his daughter, Kaylee.

Friends may call from 4 pm until 7 pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the funeral home.
