Obituary

Jacqueline Lymas, 68, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Jacqueline was born on February 10, 1955, in Chicago to the late Fred and Nonnie B. (Gamble) Lymas.  She was also preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Aaliyah Humphrey and two brothers, Charles Lymas and Billy Lymas

Jackie was a homemaker, enjoying every minute she was able to spend with her children.  She enjoyed cooking and enjoyed feeding anyone that showed up to her table.  She was a born again Christian, a mother to all and above all else, she loved her family.

Surviving her are her children: daughters, Shontell (Omarr Marshall) Lymas of Chicago, Tamari Lymas, Nonnie Davis and Fredreca Washington, all of South Bend, Nakia Washington of Elkhart, son SirQuincy Washington of Elkhart, daughters Candice Washington of South Bend and Jacqueline Washington of Milwaukee, WI.  Also surviving are twenty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother, Richard (Debra) Lymas and one sister, Jeanette Lymas, both of Chicago.

Services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at noon at Agape Missionary Baptist Church where visitation will be held from 11 am until the hour of the service.  Rev. Dannell Brown will officiate.  Cremation will follow.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
