James C. Hatcher, 92, of Elkhart died Sunday, January 9, 2022. James was born April 21, 1929 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late James and Emma (Denard) Hatcher.

He is survived by his wife, Mirna, three daughters: Ramona (Ed) Cornett of Michigan, Jean (Lance) Thompson of Ohio and Beth (Dean) Hainey of Bristol. James is also survived by five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

James is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

James hobbies were fishing, bird watching and traveling to Florida.

A visitation for James will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 12PM until 1PM at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home in Elkhart. A graveside service for James will follow at 1:30PM at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.
