James J. Woodrum, 88, of Elkhart, died at home on Monday, December 5, 2022.

He was born September 22, 1934 in Boone County, WV to the late Leonard and Hester (Sheets).  He was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

Prior to his retirement, James was employed as a driver for Prompt Delivery where he was responsible for delivering medical supplies. When he wasn't at work, he could be found tinkering on one of his cars or trucks.  He was also a lover of all animals and would always feed the neighborhood strays.

He is survived by a daughter, Amy Snyder (Adam Bell) of Elkhart; one sister, Martha Clay of WV and three grandsons: Tyler, Michael and Austin.

There will be no visitation or services at this time.  Per his wishes, James will be cremated.  Arrangements are pending at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home
