Janice (Goshorn) Salmander, 88, of Elkhart, died at home Wednesday, March 13, 2019.   She was born to the late Donald and Hazel (Thomas) Goshorn on September 15, 1930 in Elkhart.  She married Weldon R. Salmander on October 31, 1953.  He preceded her in death on October 3, 2015.  She was also preceded by her brothers Warren Goshorn, Wayne Goshorn and sister Phyllis Follins.

Janice was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church for over 60 years, O.E.S. for over 50 years and Elkhart Moose 599 for over 20 years.   She was a Cubs fan, IU basketball fan and a Michigan State football fan.  She enjoyed watching Food Network and going to the Casino.

Janice is survived by her daughter Brenda Salmander and all her special kids that she loved and provided care for over the many years.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 3 PM to 6 PM at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be Monday, March 18, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Jamestown United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Loft officiating.  Burial will be at Olive Cemetery.
