Jean H. Coley, 79, of Elkhart, died Monday, January 29, 2018 in Elkhart General Hospital.  Jean was born on January 15, 1939 in Elkhart, to Sylvester and Lura Mae (Brannic) Barnes.

After her graduation from Elkhart High School in 1958, she married John Coley who preceded her in death in 2003.  She was employed by CTS for 36 years and became a member of the Quarter Century Club.   Jean enjoyed gardening and attending plays.  She loved talking on the phone with friends and family.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life.  Her most recent church affiliation was with The Church Without Walls.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her Sons:  Christopher A. Coley (Victoria), Indianapolis, and Tylor Coley (Keily Olsen), Minneapolis, MN, Sisters:  Jo An Murkey (Clifford), Chicago, Linda Turner (Clifton), Flint, MI, Brother, Erich Barnes (Violet), Yonkers NY, 10 Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her Sisters: Helen Clarkson and Ella Mae Atkinson, Brothers: Sylvester Barnes, Jr, Lester, Samuel, Ben Barnes, and Daughter in Law, Kelli Jo Coley.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 11:00 AM in Agape Missionary Baptist Church, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.
