Obituary

Jeffrey L. Bradley, 80, of Cassopolis, MI, died on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Greenleaf Health Campus.

He was born on April 1, 1944, in Elkhart to the late Lynn G. and Mabel R. (Watkins) Bradley.  Also preceding him in death are a sister and her husband, Sonia and Keith Campbell and a brother, Bruce Bradley.

Jeff married Lori J. Scheets on December 22, 1980, in Las Vegas, NV.  She survives along with a brother, Lee (Diane) Bradley of Elkhart and many nieces and nephews, all of whom Jeff adored and treated as if they were his own children.  He also loved his dogs, Benny and Rocky.

Jeff was the founder of Cutter's Foam Fabricating, a business still in operation today.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf.  He also loved baseball and received a scholarship from Ball State University where he was a pitcher until an injury cut his career short.  He also was a pitcher on the Oakland Athletics minor league baseball team.  He was a former member of Elcona Country Club, the Elk's and Bent Oak.  Jeff was also quite the accomplished cook.  He and Lori also enjoyed going on jazz cruises.  For the past 20 years on Friday nights, you could always find Jeff and Lori in the same booth at Michael's Italian Restaurant.  He also enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees.

Jeff was a very kind person who thought of others before himself, and he always had a positive outlook on life.  His smile and presence will be greatly missed by his friends and loved ones.

Visitation for Jeff will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 11:00 am until the hour of the service at 1:00 pm, all at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  Pastor Michael Kendall will officiate and burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
