Kathleen Joy Elliot, 66, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Elkhart Hospice House. Kathy was born on August 12, 1948 to Norman M. and Margaret (Joy) Kuehne in Chicago. They preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Morey Mowat, Elkhart; daughters, Amy Johnson, Elkhart and Cynthia Peters (Michael), Middleton, NY; sons, Andy Elliot (Cyndi), Boise, ID and Gary Mowat, South Bend; a brother, William Kuehne (Kathy), Elkhart; 7 grandchildren, Nikki, Megan, and Matthew Johnson, Elkhart, Christopher, Katherine and Caroline Peters, Middleton, NY and Jackson Elliot, Boise, ID. Kathy was the owner of Century 21 Abbey Realty, Inc for over 40 years. She was known as the premier instructor in the local real estate business. She was a member of Zonta & American Business women. She served on multiple committees as President of The Elkhart County Board of Realtors, 1999 & 2001. She was a multi-million dollar producer for Century 21 Abbey. Kathy enjoyed international travel, her flower gardens & her dogs. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m., Friday November 21, 2014 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service, Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the funeral home.
