Kenneth E. "Bill" Smith, 73, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Elkhart Rehabilitation Center. Bill was born on May 28, 1942 to the late Warren G. Smith and Murline Haynes in Blythesville, Arkansas. On June 29, 1984 he married Glenda Halliburton. She survives. Bill is survived by daughters, Carmela S. Fossett and Rhonda Y. Williams-Snell (Curtis), both of Elkhart; son, Charles A. Williams, and Allan E. Williams (Linda), both of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Michelle Young (Shawn), Lexington, KY; great-aunt Virdee Jackson (Robert), Elkhart, and a host of other family members. He was preceded in death by step-father Roosevelt Haynes. Bill was a tractor driver with Elkhart Foundry. He was a Deacon and member of Deliverance Temple. Bill was dearly loved by family, friends, and the community. Friends may call from 11 a.m., until the time of service at 12 P.M. (Noon), Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Deliverance Temple with the Reverend George Bostic, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
