LeRoy R. "Roy" Farrell, 91, of Elkhart, died on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Elkhart Hospice House.

Roy was born April 7, 1927 in South Bend to the late Frank and Mary (Geltner) Farrell.  Also preceding him in death were five sisters; Cecelia Gollatz, Bernice Burszinski, Ruth Farrell, Dorothy Tekker and Elaine DeNeve and four brothers; Richard, William, Francis and Charles Farrell.

On May 14, 1955, Roy married the former Theresa J. Checchio in Elkhart.  Theresa died on June 3, 2009.  Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Roy retired from CTS in 1989 after 34 years of employment.  He was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, the CTS Quarter Century Club and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII.

Visitation for Roy will be held on Wednesday from 4 until 7 at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m.  Friends may also call for one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church on Thursday, April 26th.  The Rev. Matthew Coonan will officiate and burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.
