Linda Lee Stender, 75, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, August 30, at home.

Linda was born January 2, 1941 in Elkhart to Greg and Edith (Olinghouse) Moore. On August 13, 1960 she married Irwin "Irv" Stender. He survives.

Linda is also survived by sons, Scott (Marilyn) Stender, Columbia City, IN, Chris (Tonia) Stender, Bristol, and Matt (Amanda) Stender, Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Shelby Rehrer (Landon), Augustus, Marta, Mackenzie, Zoey, Madalyn, Emerson, and Charlotte; great-granddaughter, Norah; siblings, Robert (Ann) Moore, Elkhart, Shirley (Gary) DeVore, Elkhart, and Norma Johnson, N.C. Linda was preceded by her parents, Greg and Edith Moore, a sister Bonnie Moore, and a brother-in-law, Merrill.

Linda was a 1959 graduate of Concord High School. She had a degree as a nurse's assistant where she worked briefly. In 1986 she began working with Concord Community Schools as a bus driver. She retired in 2002. Linda was a member of Church of the Nazarene. She was one of the founding members of Concord Little League.

Friends may call from 6-8pm. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
