Obituary

Lindsay K. Grib, 61, of Elkhart, passed away after a lengthy illness at Hospice House in South Bend surrounded by her family.

Lindsay was born on October 29, 1955 in Elkhart to Edward and Darlene (Weimer) Kurtz.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Grib, Elkhart; son, Nathan Grib, Elkhart; mother, Darlene Kurtz, Elkhart; sisters, Leslie Kurtz, Elkhart, and Darci Kurtz, Indianapolis, and a brother, Blaine Kurtz, Elkhart. Lindsay was preceded in death by her father, Edward Kurtz.

Lindsay was an Elkhart Memorial High School graduate. She was employed with Jan's House in Elkhart as a cosmetologist for 40 years, 20 of which when she owned the business. She enjoyed doing make over and coloring hair. Lindsay liked to read inspirational books and enjoyed bowling, golfing, music and cooking. She taught a children's Sunday school class for Christian Grove Ministries and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the Simonton Lake 4th of July celebrations with her friends and Angels and butterflies.

Friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm, Monday, July 17, 2017 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Calvary United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jennifer Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Carleton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Kidney Foundation.
