(Miller) Losee
June 9, 1935 – October 22, 2021
Lois Ann Losee, 86, of Elkhart, died Friday, October 22, 2021 at Hubbard Hill Estates in Elkhart.
Lois was born June 9, 1935 in Elkhart to the late Melvin and Zola Glee (Conner) Miller. She graduated from Jimtown High School in 1953. At the age of 18, she married Ervin Losee on November 29, 1953. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage together before his death on January 22, 2000.
Lois is also preceded in death by two siblings: Lanny Miller and Carolyn Maxwell. She is survived by her children: Jeff (Cheryl) Losee of Bristol, Marcia Losee of Elkhart, Mindy (Dan) Bisig of Elkhart and a brother Myron (Sandy) Miller. Lois is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Lois was a member of Creekside Church of the Brethren in Elkhart. Her hobbies included fishing and watching sports with her husband, mushroom hunting with her family, gardening and bird watching which included the occasional raccoon. She enjoyed working with children and was employed as a preschool teacher at the Elkhart City Church of the Brethren. Lois loved going on vacation with her family and valued quality time with those she loved. Most recently, she went on a fishing trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with her daughter, Mindy and Mindy's family.
A visitation for Lois will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home in Elkhart. A graveside service will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery. A Memorial Service for Lois will be held November 6, 2021 at the Creekside Church of the Brethren in Elkhart at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601
