Mandi R. Deputy, 47, of Bristol, passed away at home Monday, May 16, surrounded by her family, close friends, and her faithful dog, Tex. Mandi was born on March 7, 1969, in South Bend. She graduated from Jimtown High School in 1987 and attended Indiana University of South Bend. She married Michael J. Deputy in Bahamas on October 16, 2002. On April 28, 2004, she gave birth to the loves of her life, Max R. and Sam R. Deputy. Mandi is survived by her husband, Michael J. Deputy; Sons; Max and Sam; Mother, Marcy Hoogenboom of Elkhart; Grandmother; Lois Doty of Elkhart; Brother, Brice Hoogenboom, his wife, Angie and nephew Tony Hederson; Sister-in-law, Anne Von-der-vellen and husband, Vince of Elkhart, Nieces, Hannah and Allison; Sister-in-law Cathy O' Connor and husband, Kevin of Indianapolis, Nieces; Bridget and Katie, Nephews; Colin, Dylan and Will; Brother-In-Law; John Deputy and wife Lewis Anne of Elkhart, Nieces; Emily, Ashley and Laura, Nephews, Jack and David; Sister-In-Law; Megan Baughman and husband, Troy, Niece, Caroline, nephews; Michael and Joseph; Beloved cousins, Matthew Blocher, Marnie Francis and Heather Working all of Marion, Indiana; And her best friends, Jennifer Cooper and Meg Ryan. She was preceded in death by her father, Randy A. Hoogenboom. Mandi dedicated her life to God, Family, Friends and children. She touched the lives of innumerable people. Mandi's smile and laughter lit every room and life she entered. Her empathy, love and touch was a comfort to anyone lucky enough to enter her presence. She taught us all invaluable lessons of compassion. Mandi's greatest virtue was humility, for she knew not her impact on those she inspired. Visitation for Mandi will be from 4 to 7 Thursday, May 19, at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home. Friends may also call one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 20, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
