Obituary

Marchen "Marcy" Cochran, 78, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on August 3rd.

Marcy was born on February 20, 1942 in Fairmont, West Virginia to the late William C. and Mary Jo (Carithers) Roe. She graduated from Concord High School in 1960 and continued her education at Indiana University South Bend.

Marcy was married to Richard Cochran in Goshen on August 1, 1969. They were married for 51 years.

Marcy worked at Dr. Norman Bryan's office for 32 years as a receptionist. She enjoyed

getting her hair and nails done with her best friend, Mary, as well as going out with her

girlfriends, and spending time with her husband and family. Her family thinks she might

have had the best potato salad recipe ever.

Marcy was a sweet lady with a smart mouth. She liked to get into trouble, but it was

never enough to land her in jail. She was classy, sassy, and a little smart a$$y.

Marcy is survived by her dear husband, Richard Cochran (Elkhart); her daughter, Jill

Reese, and son-in-law, Mark Reese (Niles); and her granddaughters Kristina, Elizabeth,

and Barbara Reese (Niles). She is preceded in death by her children Mark and Michelle;

her brothers William Charles "Chuck" Roe and David Michael "Mike" Roe; her sister

JoAn Leslie Fisher; her mother Mary Jo Luke; and her father William Charles Roe.

In lieu of a funeral service, the family will be having a private memorial followed by a

burial at Rice Cemetery at a later date. Marcy was such an animal lover, that the family

would encourage donations to the Humane Society of Elkhart 54687 County Road 19, Bristol, IN 46507, and have them made in her name.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.

The family of Marcy Cochran would like to thank Heartland Hospice Care; Dr. Lee,

Diana, and the office staff; and the Elkhart General Hospital staff for going above and beyond.
