Marcia Jo "Marcy" Hoogenboom, 72, of Elkhart, died at home on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Marcy was born September 29, 1950 in Elkhart to the late Kermit and Lois (Helmlinger) Doty.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mandi Deputy a sister, Janette Blocher, her brother, Randy Doty and her step-father, Thomas Battler.

She is survived by her son, Brice (Angie) Hoogenboom of Elkhart, a sister, Dannielle K. Hudler of Charlotte, NC, three grandsons, Max R. Deputy, Sam R. Deputy and Tony L. (Erin) Henderson.  Also surviving are three nieces, Heather R. (Ryan Swafford) Working and Marnie L. (Richard) Francis, both of Marion, IN; Victoria (Robyn) Colliver of Charlotte, one nephew, Matthew D. Blocher, also of Marion and a close family friend, Jennifer Cooper.

Marcy was employed in sales for many years at local home furnishing companies.  She had a knack for decorating homes and was very good at it.  She also had a great sense of humor.  Family was important to Marcy, and she treasured her role as mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

There will be no visitation or service at this time.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
