Obituary

Margaret "Maggie" Pearl Rigsby, 90, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed into eternal slumber Sunday, October 4, while surrounded by the love of family.

Maggie was born in Elkhart, to John and Pauline (Sorbo) Mascolo on December 12,

1929. She married Edward "Ray" Rigsby on August 6, 1951, in Angola, Indiana. A first-

generation Italian American, Maggie was passionate about carrying on traditions of

homemade Italian cuisine passed and gathering with family around a meal made with

love. When not enjoying her kitchen full of loved ones, Maggie spent time doing

ceramics work and crafting. Dedicated to her work, Maggie spent 66 years in service to

Chicago Telephone Supply (CTS) carrying out various roles for the company in her

tenure and serving as a representative to the American Women's Business Association.

Maggie is survived son, Rocky Rigsby of Goshen, grandchildren Rocco (Billi Jo) Rigsby

of Wakarusa; Ryann (Jason) Weatherford of Indianapolis, Reana (Adam) Bujalski of

Goshen; and Anthony Kirchner of Paoli; and great-grandchildren Remington and Rocky

Rigsby II; Aidan, John, Charlotte and Nicoli Bujalski; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Maggie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, great-grandsons Jacob Bujalski

and Colter Weatherford, and siblings Mollie Rinaldi, Josephine Ibberson, Irene Pugliese,

Michael, Anthony, Guy and Paul Forte, and twin brother Julio Mascolo.

A viewing will be at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home in Elkhart on Wednesday, October 14 from 2 to 4pm & 6 to 8pm and one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Thursday, October 15 at 11:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church 1108 S Main St, Elkhart. Maggie will be interned at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Osceola.
