Marna Kathleen Brown Kline, 95, of Elkhart, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Hubbard Hill Estates.

Marna was born on June 19, 1922 in Elkhart to Dora (Glines) and George Lyon. Two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Lyon preceded her in death. Marna grew up in Elkhart and was a 1940 graduate of Elkhart High School. On January 9, 1943, she married Robert Brown, Jr. He died in 1993.

She married Albert R. Kline on June 19, 2004 in Elkhart. The Klines' were members of Trinity United Methodist Church. They participated in the Mr. and Mrs. Club and were frequent travelers. Marna was also an active volunteer, an avid golfer, and for several years was a member of the Bent Oak Golf Club. She is survived by her husband, Al, and her daughters, Diane, Carol, and Janet, and son-in-law Thomas Love. She is also survived by Al's children, Nancy, Janet and Douglas, and their spouses as well as 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The viewing will be held at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully accepts memorials to the Center for Hospice Care of Elkhart County.
