Mary L. Witcher, 89, of Goshen, died Friday, October 21, 2016 at her residence.

Mary was born on March 23, 1927 in Jefferson Township, Indiana to Robert E. and Carrie I. (Stout) Bridge. On October 4, 1947, she married Joseph Byron Witcher. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2006.

Mary is survived by a daughter Nancy Dempster, Elkhart; Son, Jeff Witcher, Gaithersburg, MD; grandchildren, Robin Dempster, Elizabeth Witcher, and Daniel Witcher and a half sister, Barbara Otte (Wayne), Beaumont, CA.

Mary was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Troyer and Beatrice Spreuer, and a brother, C. Bill Bridge.

Mary was a 1944 graduate of Elkhart High School. Most of Mary's life was spent as a homemaker. Family was very important to her. She was employed for 10 years as a sales clerk with JC Penney in Mishawaka, until retirement in 1986.

Friends may call from 1 pm until the memorial service at 2 pm, Friday, October 28, 2016 at The Metzler Meeting House at Greencroft in Goshen with Jay Morris officiating.
