Mary C. Sheibley, 81, of Elkhart died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Elkhart Hospice House. Mary was born on October 18, 1935 to Cecil and Bernice (Ramsey) Ward in Elkhart. On September 15, 1956, she married Paul W. Sheibley. Together they shared over 60 years of loving marriage. He survives.

Mary is also survived by daughters Debbie Hulewicz (John) and Paula Sheibley; a grandson, Jacob Hulewicz, who was the light of her life; sisters, Ardith Higley (Carl), Phyllis Newell (Ken), Margaret Timmons, Alice Bontrager, Joyce Ternet, and Lois Miller (Dean); brothers, David and John Ward. Mary was preceded in death by brothers, Harry, Gene, and Jim Ward.

Mary was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a board member of St. Vincent Cemetery, and a past member of the Ladies' Elks and Zonta International. Mary enjoyed reading and loved to cook for her family.

Friends may call from 12 pm (Noon), until the 2 pm service, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.
