Dr. Maurice C. Longenecker 100 of Clearwater, Florida and Elkhart, Indiana died April 12, 2006. He was born January 13, 1906 in North Webster, Indiana to William and Mary Longenecker. He married Frances E. Mahin December 22, 1928 in Dayton, OH, she died in 1996. Surviving is one daughter Mrs. Harold Donna Cranmer of Elkhart, three grandchildren Robert and Steven Cranmer of Elkhart; Mrs. Stephen Julie Plaia of Mishawaka; two grandsons Chad and Jared Plaia of Mishawaka, Indiana, nine nieces and nephews. Dr. Longenecker was a 1929 graduate o Indiana University School of Dentistry and a member of the Delta Sigma Delta fraternity. He practiced 54 year in Elkhart and had served on the staff of Elkhart General Hospital for 25 years. Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. on Friday at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the Oak Park Cemetery in Ligoner, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
