Merle L. Ganger, Jr. 86, of Goshen, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at IU Health Goshen. Merle was born on November 2, 1929 in Elkhart to Merle L. Ganger, Sr. and Frances Mildred (Mahoney) Ganger. On February 3, 1951 he married Beverly Jo Maxson in Osceola. She survives. Merle is survived by daughter, Diann Marie Nagy (Gregory), Elkhart; son, Gary Allen Ganger (Linda), Uniontown, OH; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Merle graduated from Baugo Township High School on May 3, 1948. He proudly served as Private First Class in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Merle was employed with the Federal Paper Board Company Inc. as a pressman from May 11, 1948 until his retirement on April 1, 1988. Shortly following retirement, he began working at K. J. Miller until 1998. Merle was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Private family services will be held at Rice Cemetery.
