Michael F. Buggs Jr., 34, of Elkhart, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Michael was born on October 13, 1987 in Elkhart to Michael and Bunita (Fields) Buggs Sr.

On October 14, 2011 he married Lyeela Mason in Denver, CO.  She survives with three children: Michael F. Buggs III, Solomon Y. O. Buggs and Anai'Yah R. Buggs, all at home; two brothers: Abrahm Buggs of Georgia and Xavier Buggs of Wisconsin; three sisters: Krysta Buggs of Elkhart, Jada Buggs of Texas and Michaela Buggs of Georgia; his mother, Bunita Fields of Elkhart and his father, Michael Buggs Sr. of South Bend.  Also surviving are a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who mourn the loss of Michael.

Michael was most recently employed by NIBCO as a driver.  He was a graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School where he played football.  He loved camping, playing games with his children, cooking, and Ohio State football.  He was also a huge fan of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to funeral services which will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the Agape Missionary Baptist Church.  The Brother Michael A. Hicks II will officiate and burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
