Michael J. Schoen, 64, of Elkhart, passed on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at his home.

Mike was born on June 27, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William Joseph and Kathyleen (Quigney) Schoen.  He married Marilyn Huffman on April 24, 1976 in Elkhart.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn and two sons: Ryan (Maribeth) Schoen and Todd Schoen of Elkhart. As well as two grandchildren Maddison and Collin Schoen. Sisters: Marianne (Max) Davis, Pat Rink, Eileen Yoder and one brother Dick Schoen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Tom Schoen.

Mike worked for the City of Elkhart for 35 years, until his retirement in 2014. He also owned and operated his own lawn business. Mike had a lot of pride in whatever he did. He enjoyed working in his yard, golfing, camping and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Mike had a big heart and would help anyone in need. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 12 to 6pm at The Elkhart Conservation Club, 55515 Riviera Drive, Elkhart, Indiana 46514 .
