Michael L. Weldy, 67, of Wakarusa, died on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Elkhart Hospice House.

Michael was born on August 22, 1953 in Goshen, IN to the late Eugene and Shirley Kay (Miller) Firestone.  He and his sister Deb were adopted and raised by Ruth and Lewis Weldy.

He is survived by two sons: Mike (Jenny) Weldy of Foley, AL and Nathan (Michelle) Weldy of Nappanee; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers: Joe (Lara) Miller of N. Manchester, IN and Carl (Bev) Poe of Milford, IN; two sisters: Deb (Bob) Ryman of Bristol and Anita (Duane) Gilbert of Goshen.  Mike is also survived by his longtime companion Marla Dixon of Elkhart and his special friend, Elaine.

Michael was most recently employed as a group leader for A.D.E.C.  Prior to that, he was employed for many years with Gemeinhardt Musical Instruments as a flute maker.  He was a graduate of Concord High School and enjoyed NASCAR.

There will be no visitation or services at this time.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
