Mildred J. Riffle, 76, of South Bend, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Healthwin Specialized Care in South Bend, IN.

Mildred was born on November 27, 1940 in Richmond, Indiana to Oliver and Ruby (Smoot) Heath. She is survived by a daughter, Kelly Banks, South Bend; sons, David Banks, John Banks, both of South Bend, Jerry Pulley (Naomi), Richmond, IN, and Kevin Banks (Cindy), St. Cloud, MN; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vickie Brochman, Lois Fultz, and Linda Lieghtner, all of Richmond, IN.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Ruby Health, a daughter, Susan Banks, grandsons Nathan Banks and James Borsodi and sisters Joann Powell and Janet Sutherland.

Mildred was formerly employed with Burcliff Industries. She enjoyed keeping up with her family and friends on Facebook, reading, crocheting, and her Chihuahua, Bandit. Services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.
