Miriam C. Resch, 64, of Elkhart, died January1, 2018 at her residence.  Miriam was born, September 12, 1953, in Yokosuka, Japan, to David J. and Virginia E. (Madden) Resch.  They preceded her in death.

Miriam was an Ordained Minister of the Congregational Christian Churches serving churches in Cheshire, Ohio, Ashland, Nebraska, and Granger, Iowa.  She was Executive Director/Pastoral Counselor of the Samaritan Center in Elkhart, and Huntington, Indiana.  She was a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and published author.

She was a graduate of Bowling Green State University(BS), Princeton Theological Seminary (MS), and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (D.Min.)

Miriam loved woodworking and was quite an accomplished artist.  She was a member of First Congregational Church, Ashland, NE.

She is survived by:  Niece, Rebekah B. Senior (Mathew), St James, NY, Nephews, Benjamin D. Berger, Jonathan Berger, Joshua Berger, all of Palmyra, PA, 2 Great Nieces, Special Friends, Louann King(Joshua), Elkhart, and Randy Grauerholz, Ashland, NE.  She was preceded in death by her Sister, Stephanie Berger.

Services will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hartzler Gutermuth Inman Funeral Home, with calling from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Rev. Suella Gerber will officiate.  Burial will be at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
