Monta June Embry, 89, of Bonnieville, KY, formerly of Elkhart died April 13, 2020 at Signature Healthcare in Horse Cave, KY.

She was born December 2, 1930 in Grayson County, KY to the late Zedock and Alice (Sharp) Embry.  June is, also, preceded in death by a sister, Helen Putney, and friend Mary Christian.

Left to cherish June's memory are her sister Emma Lou (Jim) Marrett of Owensboro, Ky and nieces and nephews.

After graduating Louisville Girls High School in 1948, June obtained a degree in nursing from Kentucky Baptist Hospital School in 1952. After seven years with Elkhart General and 32 years with Dr. Middleton at The Hudson Medical Clinic she retired in 1991. A member of Beulah Missionary Church since 1961, June was one of four ladies to start their library.  June was the secretary of Hubbard Hill Village Association for many years.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.  Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
