Myrna J. Staner, 85, of Elkhart died on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Courtyard Healthcare in Goshen, IN.

She was born August 8, 1935 in Logansport, IN to the late Alva and Eliza E. (Kintner) Smith.  Also preceding her in death was a sister, Charlene Summers and a brother, Steven Smith.

Surviving is a daughter, Valorie Rahn; three sons: Albert (Terry) Staner, Charles (Dollie) Staner and Victor Staner, all of Elkhart; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Myrna had been employed for many years as a secretary for Family and Children's Services, retiring in 2000.  She enjoyed reading, writing and on-line shopping but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She grew up in Wabash County and graduated from high school in Noble Township in 1953.

Visitation for Myrna will be Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 11 am until the hour of the service at noon, all at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  The Rev. Bob Culp of Grace Brethren Church will officiate.  Private family graveside services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
