Oscar Malone, 58, of Elkhart, died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at home.

Oscar was born on May 31, 1958 in Tennessee to Nesbit Malone, Sr. and Mattie L. (Fitz) Malone. He married Gloria Spain in 2015. She preceded him in death in 2016. Also, preceding Oscar was a brother, Nesbit Malone, Jr. and his father, Nesbit Malone, Sr.

Oscar is survived by his mother, Mattie L. Malone; a step-son, Kris Spain; sisters, Ruby Johnson (Walter), Annie Wiley (Sherman), Annette Gates (Dossie), Jenete Malone, and Theresa Wolverton (Brad); brothers, Wayne Malone, Thomas Malone (Geraldine), Alex Malone (Portia), Vernard Malone, Sr. (Mary), Edward Malone (Dadine), Alonzo Malone (Yolanda), Billy Malone (Valerie), David Malone (Charlotte), Calvin Malone (Tina), and Robert Malone (Donna).

Oscar was a member of Unique Outreach Ministries. He loved sports and was an avid fisherman.

Friends may call from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Open Gate Church, 137 Division Street, Elkhart, IN 46516. Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.
