Patricia M. (Best) Vagi, 87, of Goshen, passed away at home on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Pat was born March 23, 1934 in Burket, IN to the late Howard and Arvada (Foltz) Wiest.  Also preceding her in death are a sister, Sharon Bemiller and one great grandson, Dustin Onderdonk.

Pat was an active member of the choir at Elkhart High School, until she graduated in 1952. She married Ralph Edsel Best in July of the same year. They enjoyed many family trips out west and camping in different areas throughout the Midwest.  Edsel preceded her in death in March of 1988.

On April 21, 1994 she married Steve Vagi in Las Vegas.  He survives along with her daughter, Karen L. Best of Elkhart: her son, Timothy A. Best of Warsaw; three granddaughters: Julie Best of Harrisburg, South Dakota, Alana Best of South Bend and Jenelle Best of Warsaw, and her brother-in-law, Max Bemiller of Bristol.

Pat retired from CTS where she was employed for many years as a line operator.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and cross stitching. You could always count on finding Pat in front of the television rooting for Notre Dame football or her favorite NASCAR drivers. She could also be found on her computer playing Mahjong or shopping on QVC. For many years Pat and Steve enjoyed being snowbirds in Arizona. Pat also had a soft spot for her dog, Onyx.

Visitation for Pat will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 11 am until the hour of the service at 1 pm, all at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  The Rev. Keith McFarren will officiate and burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
