Penelope A. "Penny" Smith, 84, of Elkhart went home to her Savior on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at StoryPoint Senior Living in Granger.
Penelope was born on March 10, 1937 in Wauseon, OH to the late Richard C. and Susan M. (Tukey) Prickett.
Penny married Dr. Lawrence J. Smith on August 18, 1957 in Albion, IN. Dr. Smith died August 27, 2020. Penny is survived by four children, twelve grandchildren and her twin sister.
Penny attended Indiana University and was a devoted wife and mother. A member of McCoy Memorial Baptist Church, she was active in the Progress Club. Along with her husband, she took several short-term mission trips through the church.
Private family services will be held. Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Penny may be made to McCoy Memorial Baptist Church 134 St. Clair Ave. Elkhart, IN 46516.
