Peter G. Briganti, 78, of Goshen, Indiana passed away the morning of Sunday, June 7, 2026 in his home.

Peter was born on August 17, 1947 in New York City to the late Celeste C. (Massa) and I. Benjamin Briganti. On January 21, 1989, he was united in marriage to Cindy (Brookshire) Briganti.

Peter is survived by his loving wife Cindy as well as one son, Ryan (Tara) Briganti; 4 daughters, Kate (Jared) Weaver, Alisha (Jade) Gasper, Ashley (Joe) Andert, and Lexi Briganti; 8 grandchildren, Emma, Lily, Jack, Hudson, Trevor, Skylar, Gabriel, and Sylas; one brother, Stephen A. Briganti; and his beloved fur-baby, Maizey, who brought him great joy in his final years.

Peter attended Indiana University and went on to become an avid IU sports fan – especially IU basketball and football. He loved watching games and was thrilled to see IU win the football championship this year. A lifelong Chicago Bears fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team with the same passion and loyalty he brought to everything in life. He had great friends and acted as the MC for his class reunions. Peter also enjoyed working outside and always kept his yard looking immaculate, as well as traveling with his wife. He had a great sense of humor - everyone knew him by his smile and his gregarious greetings. Peter built a successful career in the RV industry, where his warmth, integrity, and natural gift for connecting with people made him a standout in sales. More than anything, Peter loved being a husband and a father.

Peter was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service for Peter will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, 403 W Franklin St, Elkhart, IN 46516. Rev. Keith McFarren will officiate.
