Robert T. "Bob" Bennett, 72, of Bristol, died on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Bob was born on November 20, 1950, in Warsaw, IN to the late Robert E. and Delores J. (Kaylor) Bennett.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pamela J. Eggleston.

On April 24, 1993, Bob married Heide M. Gilbert in Key West, FL.  She survives along with numerous cousins and their crazy cats.

Bob was employed as a driver for the M.H./R.V. industry, working for Patrick Industries, Yellow Dog and most recently, Trim-Lok Midwest, who has been a great support during his illness.  A 1969 graduate of Elkhart High School, Bob enjoyed all forms of aviation.  He even built an ultralight in their living room.  He was a radio-controlled aircraft enthusiast and a member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association).  Bob also enjoyed word puzzles, watching sports and being outside.

Visitation for Bob will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home.  Cremation has taken place.
